From Canterbury to Orpington

The Fordwich Arms has a riverside setting and a wide range of appealing menus. We enjoyed an excellent meal, just as on my previous visit here. A hake dish was the star of the show, and a very well-made chicken liver parfait dish was also very good. This is a very appealing all round restaurant.
Indian Essence in Orpington is an Atul Kocchar restaurant (he has several others), and a good one it is. The menu is more ambitious than a typical curry house, and the dishes that we tried were well executed. The sea-bream dish was particularly good, as was the naan bread, whoich was lovely.
