This is the casual sister restaurant to next door Topolobampo, another restaurant from celebrity chef Rick Bayless.  The best thing was the guacamole, which was the same as that at Topolbampo i.e. with fresh avocado and well made (3/10).

My chilli was marred by having some distinctly fatty and chewy pieces of meat, which is odd given that the whole point of chilli is to have slow-cooked tender meat; it was not particularly spicy, which migt have helped distract from the meat (0/10).  Fish tacos was better, but far from memorable, not obviously of a much higher standard than most Mexican restaurants, though pleasant enough (1/10).

Service was perfunctory, and our waitress distinctly grumpy.  The bill came to $34 a head (£20) with drinks  per person for just one course.  The restaurant is bafflingly popular based on our admittedly brief visit.  Go next door and eat at Topolobampo.  I actually enjoyed the fast food Xoco (one door along, same ownership) more than this.
