Restaurant Review - View

The Taj Garden Retreat hotel is beautifully located at the top of a hill overlooking the city of Madurai.  It has very attractive gardens and outside seating with superb views.  Chicken malai tikka was as tender as one would hope (4/10) while a dosa was merely pleasant (1/10).  Bhindi was OK but not as dry as would be ideal (1/10).  Sag aloo was also decent enough, with good spinach flavour (1/10).  Best were the breads: excellent romali roti (4/10 and garlic naan (3/10).
